Breakfast really lovely and served in a beautiful dining room. Good choice of cooked breakfast but for me the lovely plate of fruit served with yogurt and honey was my perfect start.
Loved the garden sitting there watching the dogs play and enjoying a cup of tea. Also appreciated the three lovely restaurants we were recommended and where we enjoyed our excellent evening meals.
Anna is a very special host who looked after us perfectly.

Burford is a medium sized Cotswolds town - pretty, lots of places to eat and drink, local independent shops and a good place as a base to explore the wider Cotswolds area.
Burford Golf Club is very close, as is the Cotswolds Wildlife Park. Both recommended.

Burford is a great place to visit.
Burford is a great place to visit. The shops are individual and interesting and it is one of the best places for pubs with open fires in winter. It is a very attractive place with many interesting buildings. A short distance away is a wonderful garden centre.
We ate one night at the Highway Inn where we were staying and the next night at the Lamb. Good meals in both.

Beautiful place to visit, walk around, shop, eat and drink and enjoy the incredible architecture
Take your camera. There's lots to photograph.
Fantastic Garden Centre just outside is also worth a visit with lots of stores of other items and clothing. The restaurant is excellent.
The hotel staff were all very helpful and friendly. The hotel is beautiful and it was such a pleasure to enjoy such an historic building which has been maintained in excellent condition. My husband says his full english breakfast was the best he has ever had. And my poached eggs were pretty good too. Our black labrador was made very welcome and even received her own sausages for breakfast! Burford is a beautiful place and we thoroughly enjoyed the surrounding area. This was a big treat and very special place for some R&R.
Everything was perfect. Anna is an amazing and kind host with a gorgeous, character filled home. The details speak for themselves as you explore the majestic corridor and living spaces. Many people come to the Cotswolds for a fairytale experience, and that's very much what you get here. Anna serves a delicious healthy breakfast in the mornings and makes sure you're ready for your day however she can. The cherry on top was spending time with her very precious and big personality pack of pups :) Thank you again Anna
The manager and staff were exceptional, ungraded my room for my birthday celebrations with a surprise treat in the room (prosecco and flutes). We all felt that the staff enhanced the stay with their friendly, attentive and professional manner. The hotel sits at the top of the main high street road so its an easy stroll down into Burford town. They had a pianist playing as we arrived and later that evening it snowed making the whole experience very festive. We will definitely stay here gain. THANK YOU .
after reading the reviews I was a bit apprehensive but we were not disappointed
we had Lark room which is located right at the back of the hotel - very quiet and was one of the larger rooms fabulous walk in shower bed was very comfy - tv- tea/coffee making facilities fluffy white towels and robes!
we ate at the 2 sister hotels The Mermaid and The Burford
the Mermaid was fab!
breakfast was fabulous!
fantastic location for exploring the Cotswolds
The refurbishment of this hotel is exceptional and the whole hotel is very stylisti and comfortable. My room was lovely and spotless with nice little luxurious touches. My bed was sooo comfortable, I slept like a baby!
The food was fabulous - both my evening meal and breakfast were absolutely delicious 👍👍
Beth was really lovely and friendly, as were the young guy and girl on breakfast service (I'm sorry I didn't get their names 🤦♀️)
I have always wanted to stay at the Lambs Inn in Burford, as we have been to the Cotswolds in the past. I remember walking by the hotel and peaking in the window and seeing a lovely room, thinking to myself . . . “oh how lovely!” Reality wasn’t disappointing! 🥰. I love the beautiful, charming, mix of old world European structure with modern day comforts. The mixture was bucolic and inviting. The staff was very nice and helpful.
I loved to stay at the hotel, very clean and nice bed. The host and staff were so nice. The restaurant food is very good but a little bit expensive, but on taste, awesome. If I come back to the town I will definitely stay again no matter the price. Also, if you believe in ghost, you will have some company at the night in the room (I am sensible to this) but they are so chill so you're going to be ok. I enjoyed my stay there.
Lovely hotel in great location.
The room was clean and comfortable and everything you needed was there.
Massive shout out to Lyndsey at breatfast this morning a credit to the hotel she was very accomadating and made us feel welcome and well looked after a great member of staff that is good at her job keep up the good work !!
Please visit the Lamb pub when you visit lovely old traditional pub with log and coal fires.
We always choose The Lamb Inn for our getaway weekends to Burford. This time however we had a very small room. Tiny bathroom and the room was at eye level to the road so we had to keep the curtains drawn due to passers-by. It was fine to sleep in but not really a room to stay in to relax for the early evening. We chose to read in the Bar before dinner rather than sit in the room. Bed was comfy though
Our trip was for my boyfriends birthday and we had the best time!!!
Beautiful pub / bed & breakfast. Room was amazingly spacious and very clean. Breakfast was delicious. Location was perfect (hidden down a little side road from the main Burford strip). Loved all the other pubs in Burford which were all in a short walking distance! Cannot recommend enough - we cant to come again!
The decor of the room was superb. It was also nice to have a bathtub, as opposed to just a shower, and we were happy to have facecloths, which didn’t seem to be so common at other hotels in England. Also, there was a miscommunication about our room, however the stuff very kindly reconfigured the room for us after our arrival. Finally, the breakfast was absolutely delicious.
Great location for exploring the town and surrounding areas.
Parking is restricted in town but there is a decent sized free car park close to the hotel.
Phone signal is Burford is awful but the hotel has free wifi, as did most of the pubs visited.
Breakfasts were amazing and had a great variety of delicious options.
Loved everything from this hotel. The decoration is on point, the room and bed was so comfortable, with everything you need. The hotel itself is super cute, the staff was very nice. It's well located right on the main street of Burford. I will definitely be back.
The hotel and the room were really cool. We were in an attic space with handhewn 16th Century beams and a huge four-poster bed. The pub downstairs was a hot spot and other eating/drinking options were available in this remarkable historic town.
Very Comfortable and friendly hotel. Lovely to stay in Burford. Loved the log fire .Very good food. Lots of breakfast choices and was very tasty. Really enjoyed the dinner we had too . Felt safe in these present times.Would stay again.,
The Hotel is located less than 5 minutes drive from the centre of Burford, making it easily accessible. The staff are welcoming and caring. The breakfast is very good. We were more than pleased with our room.
Unbeatable location - less than 10m off of Burford high street, yet relatively quiet and undisturbed! Overall very comfortable and convenient, very clean, and well renovated.
Nicely renovated property close to high Street in Burford. Beautiful facility, nice bar, excellent breakfast. Elegant setting with generous and engaged, hostess owner.
