The home is warm and welcoming, with many amenities to support a comfortable stay: from extra heaters and blankets to plentiful mugs and dishes for tea or breakfast. The room is also spacious. Finally the host was available and helpful throughout our stay. We could walk to dinner in Owaka, which was an added bonus.

This 2-bedroom suite has a well equipped kitchenette with microwave, rice cooker, fridge, toaster and kettle. The sunny main bedroom has a flat-screen TV and an ensuite bathroom. The second bedroom has a comfortable queen sized bed and shares the owner's bathroom facilities. Large sunny deck area with BBQ and outdoor seating area for guests to enjoy. At the guest house, all rooms have a wardrobe and a flat-screen TV. Featuring a private bathroom with a hot tub and a hairdryer, certain units at Minaret Ridge Retreat also boast a mountain view. All guest rooms will provide guests with a dishwasher. It was a treat to stay at Minaret Ridge after 3 nights at crowded hostels. Just what I needed. Jay was helpful in assisting me “find” the property (I almost went into their lovely honeymoon by mistake!). What a relaxing stay -thanks!

The Cardrona ski fields are a 20-minute drive, and Queenstown Airport is a 50-minute drive away. The place is beautiful and very clean, the room is spacious and comfortable and the common spaces are cozy and nice.
